If you'd have opened your window last night at about 9.55pm you'd have heard the sound of cheering across the land as Michael Sophocles was FINALLY given his marching orders in The Apprentice.
Michael seemed to get 'one last chance' from Sir Alan every single week and managed to wriggle off the hook from all sorts of disastrous tasks - from cheating over the tennis rackets to the kosher chicken debacle!
Last night's boardroom was real edge of the seat stuff - with at one point it looking like Helene was going to be sacked. Sir Alan quite rightly pointed out that we haven't seen much of Helene during the ten weeks of the show - what exactly does she do? His character assassination of her though did feel a bit too harsh - anyone else agree? We do feel that her card has been well and truly marked and it will take a minor miracle if she is not next to go.
And where has it all gone wrong with Lucinda? Only a couple of weeks ago we were rooting for her to win the series but last night she once again seemed more interested in sabotaging the task for team leader Lee than helping out. Her efforts at selling were pitiful and she was preoccupied with getting recognition for her contribution. Can she redeem herself next week?
Lee, Alex and Claire all had a very good week and these three now look like the ones to beat. Claire has really got her act together and is even managing to keep her mouth shut in the boardroom. Could she end up the surprise winner?
What did you think of last night's show? Should Sir Alan have sacked more than one person? Who do you think will win?

I know we were (dad & me) were ones of the many of you that were probb cheering so totally agree witht that point. I wasn't going to watch anymore if he stayed last night. I really enjoyed the cars as i am a car enthusiasts so that task was right up might street. I really thought helelne was a goner but that god SAS so sense. FINALLY!!! I thought lee was a bit cruel to Lucinda but i can understand why as she is a bit of a fairy I think lucinda will go next week I recokon it will be claire & alex final cant wait to next week, its getting god know

Lee's pathetic pitch for the tissue ad was pitiful, Alex is a conniving weasle, Helen has no redeeming characteristics at all and Claire is a well-oiled motor mouth. So, are any of them really worthy of wininng? Who knows...? Who cares...?!
Posted by: holmography on Wed May 28 11:21AM | Report abuseI am getting a little bit concerned over Lucinda, Sir Alan seems to have turned on her after that spell of positive comments. I'm thinking Claire might be in the final now. Alex is really annoying me, he is just a smug, pretty boy, he looks like he should be in Footballer's Wives! Never liked Helene, she'll be next for the chop. Michael had to go...

Posted by: chrisdell on Wed May 28 11:55AM | Report abuseI was one of the many screams of delight when michael finnally got fired! again i think lucinda is being bullied and pushed aside by lee and alex, but i hope they both remember there is only one job, so being so close will only end in them stabbing each other in the back . i would now like to claire or lucinda win but i think the others will crush lucinda, which is a shame as she does speak the obvious truth, but the others dismiss her as being difficult when she is only pointing out the faults. lucinda is the real winner but it wont happen..

Posted by: chrisdell on Wed May 28 11:56AM | Report abuseI thought Lee's performance as team leader was terrible. I'm no fan of Lucinda but he did a terrible job of motivating her and couldn't hide his dislike of her. Alex wasn't much better in this regard either. edlee

He did show some moments of greatness but should have received marching orders after the Morocco fiasco. I think Claire or Alex will win. Claire has improved a lot and finally learnt to shut her mouth. But she should have gone 8 weeks ago instead of Simon. As for Lucinda I was shocked by how bad she was yesterday. Especially after her recent improvements.
