That's put an Ender that then

Lacey Turner

Lacey won for her role as EastEnders' Stacey Slater and it follows her trophy earlier this year for Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards. If she continues to pick up the awards at this rate she'll need to find herself a new cabinet.

Afterwards she revealed that she was planning to shun the after-party to go straight to bed following a couple of weeks of non-stop work on EastEnders.

There was joy too for the rest of the EastEnders cast when they picked up the award for Best Serial Drama.

Meanwhile, new Doctor Who star Catherine Tate had something to smile about after bagging the award for Best Comedy Series. Her BBC sketch show The Catherine Tate Show has had a habit of missing out on the big awards (often to Little Britain) so it was ironic that it was David Walliams and Matt Lucas who presented the award.

Is Catherine a worthy winner and is EastEnders really TV's best soap?
