Apprentice Week Seven: And Jen There Were None...

The Apprentice's Jennifer Maguire and Jenny Celerier

It was a double-whammy on last week's Apprentice as not one, but two of the candidates were fired in a dramatic boardroom showdown following what should have been called the Headless Kosher Chickens task.

We didn't shed any tears for either cheating, bully Jenny Celerier or sour-faced, ice queen Jennifer Maguire as both of them have had this coming for weeks. How did they manage to survive this far? Actually, how have about 90% of this year's candidates survived so far? It's hardly a vintage year!

Jennifer - the greatest sales person in Europe - was a useless team leader and made mistake after mistake as she struggled to control her team. In the boardroom, her vicious side surfaced once again as she played the blame game and tried to pin her failure on her team-mates. Whiner Alex was also guilting of blaming everyone else - as usual - but again he got off the hook. Why can't Sir Alan see through him?

Meanwhile, the other Jenny, who previously enraged us when she bullied Lucinda, came unstuck last night when she cheated during the task in an attempt to sabotage the other team's result. How on earth did she think she could do this ON CAMERA and then get away with it? Duh!

What really angered us was that Michael, who helped her out in the scam, managed to wriggle himself out of trouble. This was despite his aggressive behaviour in the boardroom (again) and a blatant attempt to gain favour with Sir Alan by playing the Jewish card (thankfully he didn't pull his trousers down to prove it, as was suggested).

Michael is possibly the most arrogant contestant ever to take part - has anyone so useless ever thought so highly of themselves? Margaret quite rightly branded him 'a waste of space'. So why is he still there?

Elsewhere last night, Claire is actually starting to warm on us. Yes, so she does get totally out of control during the tasks but this does make it fun to watch as her teamleader struggles to reign her in. Is it just us, or does she have a look of Kerry Katona about her? You get the impression that she'd be quite a laugh after a few drinks down the pub though we'd pass on having her as a manager as we prefer our back as it is - minus the knives.

Lee succeeded as teamleader but we can't stand all the macho posturing and, in our opinion, anyone who shouts 'C'mon!' each time they succeed in something should be taken outside and shot.

Sir Alan's aide Nick is fast becoming the show's king of the one-liners - "There were Gucci branded underpants everywhere you looked but you don't seriously believe they were the genuine article do you?" he seethed at Alex during one boardroom exchange. Nick also picked up on Sara's success during this task and it was also a good week for Lucinda and Raef. Are these three the dark horses who will make it to the final three?

What did you think of last night's show? Was Sir Alan right to fire both Jennifer and Jenny? Should Michael have been fired too for cheating? Let us know what you think...

Claire has confirmed her strategy this week. She ensures her team mates and team captain hangs themselves. She will only do enough to survive herself. How many times in the past has she rolled her eyes, made catty comments, and publically assignated other members on camera. Clearly not a team player but someone who is out for themselves in life. Pity the poor man who ends up with her! My revelation this week is that Margaret is out for the job herself-what an absolute wonderful person. Nothing gets past her and she shhots from the hip, she would be in my team any day

Personnaly, I would not emplor any of them, scheeming little shits. Are these realy a cross section of the young executives who are looking to run our nations firms, I think not, where did they come from RADA? They generally seem a bunch of T@SS@RS. Sir Alan, cut your loss`s, give the last remaining person £10,000 and tell him to F@@K off. Regards Steve Davies ( not Jewish but an east end lad, but at least I know the diferance between Kosher an Halal ), no wonder the world is in such a mess.

I really think Michael should have gone because of his confusion with basic religious knowledge. Also because of the way he and Jennifer tried to sabotage the other team with thier tennis rackets. And because of the 'Im arrogant' comment. What a loser. I wish he was next to me on the tube one morning, I'd give him a good dig in the ribs (Im not the type that would usually do that but he's an exeption to the rule!!) Im really disappointed with all of this years candidates. They dont seem to have any commen sense. Whoever wins will be the best of a bad bunch.

What a fab show!!! Oh I was so happy to see red headed Jen leave - I was waving her bye bye! LOL. She should have left after the bullying session she gave Lucinda in show 1 or 2. OOOOO I am so please she got caught and seen for the shameless cow she is. Who the hell will give her a job now?? Irish Jen - well what a waste of time she was on this one - and yes it was right that she went but Michael was VERY lucky but Alans got his beady eye on him - roll on next week! Excellent!

Its a tv show! What do you expect the candidates to be like? Only the first was the real deal, the quality of the contestants was very high. All that we have had subsequently is a commercial version of Big Brother. I am surprised Alan Sugar goes along with it, but it is free publicity!

What made me laugh was that the two usual scapegoats Sara and lucinda were put in the same team, so the other bullies had to fall on each other instead of them. I think Helene should go as she is also a bully; relegating Lucinda to tea making and props last week was done so she could then accuse her of laziness if they failed (like the others did with Sara), even though she was begging for something more to do!
