Apprentice Week Seven: And Jen There Were None...

The Apprentice's Jennifer Maguire and Jenny Celerier

It was a double-whammy on last week's Apprentice as not one, but two of the candidates were fired in a dramatic boardroom showdown following what should have been called the Headless Kosher Chickens task.

We didn't shed any tears for either cheating, bully Jenny Celerier or sour-faced, ice queen Jennifer Maguire as both of them have had this coming for weeks. How did they manage to survive this far? Actually, how have about 90% of this year's candidates survived so far? It's hardly a vintage year!

Jennifer - the greatest sales person in Europe - was a useless team leader and made mistake after mistake as she struggled to control her team. In the boardroom, her vicious side surfaced once again as she played the blame game and tried to pin her failure on her team-mates. Whiner Alex was also guilting of blaming everyone else - as usual - but again he got off the hook. Why can't Sir Alan see through him?

Meanwhile, the other Jenny, who previously enraged us when she bullied Lucinda, came unstuck last night when she cheated during the task in an attempt to sabotage the other team's result. How on earth did she think she could do this ON CAMERA and then get away with it? Duh!

What really angered us was that Michael, who helped her out in the scam, managed to wriggle himself out of trouble. This was despite his aggressive behaviour in the boardroom (again) and a blatant attempt to gain favour with Sir Alan by playing the Jewish card (thankfully he didn't pull his trousers down to prove it, as was suggested).

Michael is possibly the most arrogant contestant ever to take part - has anyone so useless ever thought so highly of themselves? Margaret quite rightly branded him 'a waste of space'. So why is he still there?

Elsewhere last night, Claire is actually starting to warm on us. Yes, so she does get totally out of control during the tasks but this does make it fun to watch as her teamleader struggles to reign her in. Is it just us, or does she have a look of Kerry Katona about her? You get the impression that she'd be quite a laugh after a few drinks down the pub though we'd pass on having her as a manager as we prefer our back as it is - minus the knives.

Lee succeeded as teamleader but we can't stand all the macho posturing and, in our opinion, anyone who shouts 'C'mon!' each time they succeed in something should be taken outside and shot.

Sir Alan's aide Nick is fast becoming the show's king of the one-liners - "There were Gucci branded underpants everywhere you looked but you don't seriously believe they were the genuine article do you?" he seethed at Alex during one boardroom exchange. Nick also picked up on Sara's success during this task and it was also a good week for Lucinda and Raef. Are these three the dark horses who will make it to the final three?

What did you think of last night's show? Was Sir Alan right to fire both Jennifer and Jenny? Should Michael have been fired too for cheating? Let us know what you think...

To get to their ages and not know that Kosher is Jewish is hilarious, they're the thickest group ever, I They're not giving him much to choose from are they? Jenny and Jennifer both deserved the sack, they're thoroughly revolting people who lack personal charisma and ability and when the chips were down could easily switch to vicious bullies! How Jennifer rates herself so highly when one of the main skills for selling is negotiating is unreal, what can she possibly base her claim on? Michael will be next to go because he's a complete idiot with no obvious ability or skills other than being a bit of an A**e licker! How he claimed to be a good Jewish boy then not know what Kosher meat was is sackable just for being so thick! My sales team would kill this lot in a competition, they're rubbish.

talk about ignorant! They don't know the difference between kosher & halal, yet they all tell us how clever they are!I am a WASP(white anglo-saxom protestant) & I knew the difference long before I was their age.I wonder what else they don't know, apart from costing, how to get on as a group etc. They also seem to lack any knowledge of team leadership. They are just full of bullshit & hype.

I think the quality of candidate this year is poor. With the exception of Raef I would not employ any of them in minor roles let alone a major position. They always make it as difficult as possible for the team leader showing week after week that they are in fact unmanageable, who would want to employ anyone like this? I guess it is poetic justice that a plonker like Alan Sugar will end up paying £100K to another plonker!

Best episode yet! With so many cringe-worthy moments it feels like I'm watching The Office.

Michael is a complete wally. He's like a posh man's hooligan. If i went into my bosses office and started banging on his table and shouting in an agressive tone i'd get a warning. But top marks who got voted off. Jenny and Jennifer were the right two to go. It stuns me how they got such a good reception on The Apprentice-Your fired after show. Raef to win!!

Sir Allan was clearly bias in favour of Michael. He is a cheat and a liar and he admitted it. He should have been FIRED on the spot. But, as it always happens in real life, if you are bias you always find reasons to make hin say. Sir Allan went through all that garbage that he is young, 23, with a future in front of him. This is all BULLSHIT as Sir Allan would say himself. He knows who he will keep from the beginning. He is just making this show to make millions. SIR ALLAN IS FIRED !!!
