Matt Lucas-alike Kevin became the sixth candidate to be fired in last night's Apprentice. Was Kevin the right person to go?
Well, of the three candidates he took back into the boardroom - yes. He refused to listen to the other team members suggesting that they would be better to do the sales presentation and as a result his pitches were disasters.
Kevin made a catastrophic mistake in not taking Jenny back into the boardroom. Jenny should have been in there and should have been fired for her appalling 'save the earth' week idea - let's all save the planet by cutting down lots of trees to send cards to each other. Clever.
So, did the other candidates agree with Sir Alan's decision? Absolutely not. The last five minutes of the programme when the contestants return to the house are fast becoming the best in the whole show. This week saw everyone turn on Sara and tell her to her face that she deserved to be fired.
We've praised Lee in previous weeks but his behaviour last night was disgraceful as he shouted at Sara that next time if she doesn't contribute he will not accept it and will be taking her into the boardroom with him. Annoyingly Sara failed to defend herself - though possibly she was simply shocked after finding herself under attack from all sides.
Does Sara still deserve to be in the running? Well, it's difficult to tell because we haven't really seen her in action yet. Does this mean that she doesn't contribute or simply that she is not getting much screentime? We don't know. Hopefully she will get to be team leader next week and then we will finally see what she's made of.
The other memorable moment last night was Michael's triumphant - and very inappropriate - football yob yell in the boardroom. We thought poor Margaret was going to have a heart attack. Michael's team had a very narrow victory - mainly because the other team's idea was so bad. Earlier in the task he had spent several hours trying to work out where to put an apostrophe. Michael tried to find the answer by calling up the editor of the Telegraph and the British Library. Had he thought about using a dictionary? We know where we would suggest he put the apostrophe...

Posted by: gem.harris on Thu May 01 04:12PM | Report abuseI think we saw some of the worst kind of bullying. the other team members, jenny in particular, were so full of themselves that they didn't give her a chance. cards for religious monorty groups might have had some appeal - certainly more than the stupid green card idea. sir alan should be made aware of what's going on - bullys aren't worthy!

At least Raef had the decency to point out that Sir Alan has made a decision, he's the boss and they should respect that.

As far as bullying is concerned - 90% of that is to keep the audience watching otherwise they'd have cut it out. Be realistic would you employ one of them, and yet Alan Sugar is making a mint out of you watching. Who's the bigger fools??

This show will ultimately decline in the ratings because these so-called hyped up and well out of proportion idiots will keep coming and coming. They clearly do not have a nano-gram of common sense or business ac@#$%en and as Sir A always keeps saying at the end of each show, that was a shambles, your fired!!!!! Finally the contendants are so shallow in their charachters that they resort to bullying, politics and mobbing the others. Can they REALLY claim to know what COMPETITION means!!! He's just playing a game by staying quiet as much as possible to not go in the boardroom and save his head. Kevin dug his own grave when he didn't bring Jenny in the boardroom. Her idea was so stupid. How can you send a card to save the planet when that makes things worst!!!! Sara's idea about religious cards was far better but this stupid Jenny refused to listen to her. This year the show is so rubbish. The candidates are so arrogant and useless. Alex, Jenny, and Claire should have been fired by now
