The Ice Cream Queen Cometh...

The Apprentice's Jennifer Maguire

Video: Watch the moment Lindi is fired

Lindi may have been the one who got the boot after the ice-cream marketing task but last night it was all about Jennifer.

Yes, we have a new villain in our midst as Jennifer steps forward to stake her claim as The Apprentice's resident bitch.

We'd always suspected that the self-proclaimed 'best salesperson in Europe' was a nasty piece of work - let's be honest, the constant scowling and eye-rolling was a bit of a giveaway and last night she confirmed our suspicions.

When Jennifer found herself in the firing line, alongside Lindi and Lucinda, she wasted no time in turning on closest pal Lindi in an effort to save her own neck.

It worked as Lindi became the latest hopeful to get the sack. It certainly wasn't undeserved though because, as head of the sales team, half of the appointments Lindi had set up were with businesses that already made their own ice-cream (next week they try to sell ice to the eskimos?).

There was a definite chill in the house when Jennifer returned and quizzed the others about whether they thought she was an ice queen. That'll be a yes then! Annoyingly the cameras then cut away - we want to know what happened next! Maybe they should film the candidates 24 hours around the clock next year and show the best bits from the house on BBC3?

This is certainly bound to stir things up over the coming weeks. In particular, Jennifer now thinks Helene has been talking about her - we'd love to see this pair square up to each other. Let's hope they are in the same teams next week.

The other big story of the week was Lucinda's emergence as a potentional dark horse to win the series. We all love an underdog and Lucinda has certainly tugged at our heartstrings over the past few weeks as we've seen her bullied by the other members of her team.

Last night, as team-leader, she gained the support of her team (apart from Jennifer of course) and even Sir Alan's aide Margaret was full of support for her. Also, call us shallow, but her kooky fashion sense also makes her the best dressed candidate for the job. Lucinda to win!

Interestingly, last week's villain Claire took Sir Alan's advice on board and kept her head down and got on with the task as team leader. Was she really a great team leader or was she just lucky? We're not convinced. Whiney Alex continued to play the blame game - let's hope he gets another shot at being in charge soon to see how he copes.

What did you think of last night's show? Should Jennifer have been sacked? Who do you think will win the series?

Lindi did deserve to be fired for trying to sell ice cream to businesses who already make it. Especially after Lucinda had phoned her to say it wasnt a good idea. Lindi was very @#$%y and arrogant throughout. I think she is too inexperienced at really understanding how to negotiate with customers. However, I really wanted Jennifer (AKA Draculas bride) to go as she is colder than the ice cream she was trying to sell and obviously not a team player. Very pleased for Lucinda who has been unfairly treated but some of the others. She stayed calm under pressure and showed you dont have to be demanding to get results.

I think she should not have been fired as she tried hard and helped the team and the stupid idea of Exclucivity was created by Jennifer and at those very moments of pressure Linda could not decide that whether it was a good idea though none of them reached to such a conclusion. I think Jennifer should not have had the second chance as she believes and says "I would not give second chance to an idiot"

I would not offer any of the self opinionated load of back stabbers a job picking up litter because they would have to have a meeting for half the day discussing how to do it and the other half arguing with each other the best way to do it. Perhaps they should try doing a proper job instead of the jumped up titled jobs they were doing before.

Jennifer's the type of sales person that gives us all a bad name, she would say any thing to make a sale after offering exlusive rights she did'nt even check that the other team had not sold into any other restaurant chain, which they had, poor Lindy, if only she had pulled her up on that one she'd still be in, "Hunters and Farmers" Jennifer's Kamakasie!!!
