The Ice Cream Queen Cometh...

The Apprentice's Jennifer Maguire

Video: Watch the moment Lindi is fired

Lindi may have been the one who got the boot after the ice-cream marketing task but last night it was all about Jennifer.

Yes, we have a new villain in our midst as Jennifer steps forward to stake her claim as The Apprentice's resident bitch.

We'd always suspected that the self-proclaimed 'best salesperson in Europe' was a nasty piece of work - let's be honest, the constant scowling and eye-rolling was a bit of a giveaway and last night she confirmed our suspicions.

When Jennifer found herself in the firing line, alongside Lindi and Lucinda, she wasted no time in turning on closest pal Lindi in an effort to save her own neck.

It worked as Lindi became the latest hopeful to get the sack. It certainly wasn't undeserved though because, as head of the sales team, half of the appointments Lindi had set up were with businesses that already made their own ice-cream (next week they try to sell ice to the eskimos?).

There was a definite chill in the house when Jennifer returned and quizzed the others about whether they thought she was an ice queen. That'll be a yes then! Annoyingly the cameras then cut away - we want to know what happened next! Maybe they should film the candidates 24 hours around the clock next year and show the best bits from the house on BBC3?

This is certainly bound to stir things up over the coming weeks. In particular, Jennifer now thinks Helene has been talking about her - we'd love to see this pair square up to each other. Let's hope they are in the same teams next week.

The other big story of the week was Lucinda's emergence as a potentional dark horse to win the series. We all love an underdog and Lucinda has certainly tugged at our heartstrings over the past few weeks as we've seen her bullied by the other members of her team.

Last night, as team-leader, she gained the support of her team (apart from Jennifer of course) and even Sir Alan's aide Margaret was full of support for her. Also, call us shallow, but her kooky fashion sense also makes her the best dressed candidate for the job. Lucinda to win!

Interestingly, last week's villain Claire took Sir Alan's advice on board and kept her head down and got on with the task as team leader. Was she really a great team leader or was she just lucky? We're not convinced. Whiney Alex continued to play the blame game - let's hope he gets another shot at being in charge soon to see how he copes.

What did you think of last night's show? Should Jennifer have been sacked? Who do you think will win the series?

Lucinda's not so daft, I think she's got a strong self preservation streak. I think Sara is strong, just not sure she makes the right decisions though... still hate that Claire though. nasty bit of work that one

Alex is good looking but....has no brains. Lucinda is quite timid but really shone through last night. Claire and Jennifer are just plain repulsive

Jennifer is certainly an ice queen!! I think she should have gone over Lindi. Claire may have appeared to take Sir Alan's advice on board, but all I could see was that she was just letting the others get on with things while she got w*nkered on cider!!! I thought Lucinda made a great team leader and had some really good ideas. I hope she continues on in the competition. Jennifer, Jenny, Alex and Claire all need to be fired sooner rather than later!!!

I think that Jennifer should have been FIRED defenatly. Lucinda was doing really well, her team should have one. Sir Alan was WRONG to fire Lindi.

people i would like to see win the series: Raif - he did a brilliant job with the laundry, hes a nice person with solid ideas Lucinda - she has been bullied by jenny in particular and had a really successful attempt at being team leader and is also a rather nice person which is a bonus. Jenny should've gone when she had that distastrous attempt at being leader not the other lady whos name i cant remember! and jennifer must go - what a complete exaggeration about being the best in europe - last night showed that she was a complete disaster! Perhaps Lindi deserved to go out last night - she had been rather @#$%y and absolutely certain that her team was going to win
