Judges have no business discussing the contestants with the press in this way. I have already written to the BBC saying it should be part of their contracts that no judge gives interviews to the press saying what they personally think about a particular contestant. She did the rounds of the studios and gave interviews about John Sargeant and how he should go and, while I personally agreed that he should go, I still found her lobbying distasteful. This is just as bad. I would be extremely glad never to have to listen to this woman's strident and unpleasant tones again. Comments like this the day before the final are singularly unhelpful and uncalled for. Please replace her before the next series.
