Girls Aloud to star in soap

How many of these fevered egos are there? Why do soap stars, and manufactured pop stars think they can just start "an acting/music career"? They have bugger all talent in their own field, so why polute another? Since when did apearing in a soap qualify as "acting" anyway... Are they to be "playing themselves" as is usual for these sort of things... 2 minutes being a wooden version of yourself does not count as acting. Mind you, stood next to a typical soap actor they will look better... "Stars" get this mad ego rush that because they are popular they can do anything... Kylie went from crap actress to superstar of the pop world, and THEN went and buggered up a perfectly good Dr Who Christmas special by thinking that because she was Kylie Minogue, she could act... Sorry Girls, but my thought would be to stick at what you are almost good at, and thats singing (?) some pretty catching pop tunes that dont require a lot of thought, and also looking very nice while you are doing it!
