The BBC has postponed the final episode of the drama 'Good Cop' after the deaths of two police officers in Manchester earlier this week.
The fourth and final episode of the series, which was due to be broadcast tonight, shows a violent attack on a female police officer that was judged to be too sensitive to screen following the killings.
Speaking about the decision, the BBC said it did not want to cause further distress and upset to the families of Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone, who died in the attack on Tuesday.
A spokesperson said: "In light of news events, BBC1 has postponed the final episode of Good Cop due to transmit at 9pm tonight."
Repeats of 'Outnumbered' and 'Have I Got News For You?' will replace 'Good Cop' in tonight's schedule.
A transmission date for the final episode of the drama has yet to be announced.
