The corporation has been criticised during this series after its Strictly editions went head-to-head with the ITV1 talent show for upwards of an hour.
However, the November 7 show is set for a 6.25pm start as BBC One ensures the Remembrance Festival is given its traditional slot.
The BBC has argued that it has been unable to schedule Strictly at other times because of time constraints due to other shows which need to be slotted into its Saturday night timetable. The evening is bookended by family drama Merlin and Match Of The Day which determine when other shows can be screened.
However the BBC has been allowed a special dispensation to screen MOTD later to accommodate the Remembrance show.
A BBC spokesman said: "Strictly Come Dancing has been brought forward this week to ensure the Festival Of Remembrance can be broadcast in its traditional timeslot."
However the spokesman said Strictly would be back to a more usual time of around 7pm the following week.
The X Factor has been getting under way at around 8pm each week, and has been pulling in larger audiences.
