Cancer survivor Christina Applegate has urged fans to donate money to charity as a tribute to late actress Farrah Fawcett, who lost her battle with the deadly disease on Thursday.
The Charlie's Angels star, who charted her struggle with the illness in her TV documentary Farrah's story, passed away at St John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California with her partner Ryan O'Neal and best friend Alana Stewart by her bedside.
Tributes have poured in for the star, but Applegate, who fought breast cancer last year, insists fans should honour her memory by making a contribution to charity to help fight the deadly illness.
She writes on her Twitter Internet page, "Today please donate money to a great cancer organisation for research. This damn disease has taken another. We must find a cure. Farrah RIP."
