The boy band, who came second place on last year's show, said the programme lasts over a longer period of time which gives the participants a chance to get used to fame.
"Britain's Got Talent happens so quickly The X Factor is like a three month process," explained Marvin.
Ortise added: "Boot camp more or less."
Marvin continued: "I always say it's kind of like two years worth of music knowledge crammed into three months. How to do interviews and how to do photos, how to shoot videos, how to perform on stage.
"It teaches you everything in that short space of time. Whereas other programmes it happens so quickly that you then have to have time to learn how to do it. So I'd say definitely puts you in good stead for a proper career."
The recent rise and fall of troubled BGT star Susan Boyle certainly reflects their opinion.
The mass publicity the Scottish sensation received surrounding the program seemed to push her over the edge when she came second to dance act Diversity on the night.
