It's been a busy day of mischiefmaking for Darnell: having already got a task cancelled this morning, he has now been sent to jail for discussing nominations.
Speaking from behind bars, he embarked on a long, whispered discussion with Dale about Mario and Lisa and whether they were secretly controlling evictions. Having got this conspiracy theory off his chest, he then finally came clean about the cancelled task.
After a detailed account of his conversation with Big Brother, Darnell finally got to the point: that the group had been punished because he had insisted that they wouldn't do the music task unless they could change instruments.
"No way!" replied Dale, looking quite impressed by the minirebellion.
"Yes way, dude. Straight up," Darnell confirmed solemnly.
Dale chuckled and then wandered off to the Luxury Bedroom, obviously not too bothered by the group's loss of a token. The jailbird then retold his story to the assembled group of sunbathers: Kathreya, Mohamed, Michael, Rachel and Stuart.
"I'm with you on that," was Stuart's calm response. "Everybody I speak to doesn't want to do it. What's the point when no one's going to be up for it?"
There was a murmur of agreement around the Garden before the housemates lost interest and started talking about something else.
Darnell must be relieved he lost the House a token, and nobody seems to mind. But let's not speak too soon: task facilitator Mario hasn't heard the news yet...
