The X Factor has lost yet another face from its line up with the news Ben Shephard has quit.
He presented spin-off series The Xtra Factor, and it's rumoured he handed in his notice because he was so upset about the axing of fellow host Kate Thornton.
Happily we can ignore rumours the appointment of Dermot O'Leary also put Shephard's nose out of joint.
An insider said: "Ben's been friends with Dermot for years - they did T4 together. He wishes the X Factor's entire production nothing but the best."
Not that the hunky host is worried about where his next meal is coming from.
Shephard will front new BBC One series Dance X, the hunt for the new Hot Gossip.
